Ben Scholtz
Ben is a proud product of a youth spent in Bellingham. He draws inspiration from Bellingham's tradition of colorful local businesses. Some still around, like the Bagelry and Village Books, others long gone like Bullies and Uncle Chen's. He even remembers playing video games in the lobby of Kovacs! Along the way, he attended the Evergreen State College, and worked at the Seattle Art Museum.

Liana Lipman
I’ve lived in Bellingham for 10 years and been a part of Mallard since 2002. I graduated WWU with a degree in Sociology and use it every day just by watching the amazing interactions between customers and ice cream. I love working with and in this wonderful community, not only through Mallard but through my time on the board of Womencare shelter for the last few years.

Devin Dazzle a.k.a. Clean Livin'
is not too tall to be friendly. He joined the ice cream makers and creators guild in the mid 1990's during a cold winter in the mountains. He has been a dues paying member of the Bellingham Ice Cream Makers Union Pop Fizz Boom #1 since 2004. He appreciates ducks okay but prefers owls. Devin likes dogs, cats, fish, horses, worms, children, hot weather and brownie chunks. When he isn't making ice cream for the denizens of Bellingham, Dazzle likes to take long walks for fun, health and relaxation.

Elie Samuel
Customers are often perplexed at the sight of a local furniture store owner scooping ice cream at Mallard. But, after a long day of selling sectionals, Eli often finds himself throwing on an apron and slinging scoops at Elizabeth Park, one of Ben’s amazing ice cream tastings, or simply at the shop.

Jessie Beck
Jessie, seeking refuge from the rambling plains of the American Heartland found herself in the alternative bosom known only as the Ham. A lover of wild fun, fast times, and a good laugh, JB's upper arm strength (which some have compared to that of a wild Baboon) makes for the best ice cream scoops and rib crackin' hugs.

Scott "Pippen" Lew
My name is Scott J. Lew, but you can call me Chris… Everyone else does. I like stuff because Stuff makes things, and I like things. Among the things that I like: cats, coffee, crosswords, calzones, and correct spelling. C.R.E.A.M. (get the money, dolla’ dolla’ bill ya’ll).

Ricardo "The Rizzle" Sandbom
Ricardo “The Rizzle” Sandbom is a man of few words. Those words dwindle to just one when trying to de-scribe him; awesome. After being challenged by a teacher to “see how far ‘cool’ gets you after high school,” he set out to do just that. With no end to his journey in sight, it’s safe to assume that even in the time it takes you to read this bio, it’s meaning has already changed. “Juicy...”

Anita Hannon
Along with my new found love for making and scooping ice cream, I am going to school at Whatcom Community College for Environmental Engineering. I have an immense interest in water. Water shed clean up, water entrapment, etc. I support local fresh food and think everyone should know their farmer.
